While we were gone to Virginia, Cory kept himself pretty busy. Some things I knew about and some I didn't. Cory gets a little upset at me because I never really appreciate all the things he does for me around the house. He is totally right. I am just so used to it that lately I have taken it for granted. So on top of the fact that he is finishing our basement by himself, he also did a few projects for me around the house that I totally love.
He restained our mantle. When we first bought the house we told them not to do anything to it because we were going to paint it white. Needless to say, I have changed my mind and almost five years later it was bugging me. So he matched it to the cabinets. He said it was so hard to match the colors, it took him a really long time. Now I am happy!!!!!!!
He also re-did our bath downstairs. It had a pedestal sink. I hated it because there was not room to store anything. So when we had to fix our duct work and cut into the bathroom wall I decided to get rid of the sink and put in a cabinet. Then I had the great idea that if we were going to do this much work we might as well tile it. I say we but that is really code in our home for Cory. I love the bath. It works so much better for me. Now just a little bit of paint.
Then while I was having all of these wonderful ideas I figured if we were going to tile one bathroom then we should just tile them all. Remember we is code for Cory. I like to feel that I am involved. So he did all the baths. The hardest was our master bath. We decided to put the tiles on a diagonal. It looks beautiful but the time it took Cory was totally exhausting.
For now we are done and I am sooooo happy with the changes we have made. There are a few more to go but right now I am totally in love with our home.

Fun changes although I am a little sad to hear you got rid of a pedestal sink. I love those things but have heard the downside is storage...Great job Cory on accomplishing the task list of the royal "we!"
Everything loos nice!! Good Job Cory!!!
Sorry I wanted to say Looks Nice!!
So that's the trick to getting projects finished - get outta town!
Hats off to Y'all! I am VERY impressed with Cory's work. I would love to have more tile in our house. I think I am going to have to DIM (do it myself) because my hubby is not into home repairs.
