Tuesday January 20th

Today I spent the day watching the inauguration what an amazing event. I know there are many who are not happy with this president. However, I am hopeful for the future. The music was amazing. It was very interesting to see the first George Bush and Bill Clinton talk to each other in such a friendly caring way. They seemed to really relish seeing each other again.
So maybe I am trying to be too optimistic but Cory will tell you I am the true pessimist. So I am trying to change my colors this year.

We also had one yummy dessert last night. For christmas, Cory's parents gave us the skookie dessert from Tai-pan. Wasn't sure about it until we cooked and ate it last night. Very yummy. This might become a weekly thing at our house.

My kids like to make individual pizzas in the Skookie. Forget the pizza though, I like the giant cookie!

Jealous! Hot cookie skillets at my house would be very dangerous, and not because they get hot, lol!

Sarah, It was fun talking the other night. Sorry that right after you told me that you don't like to hear other people opinions about your kids, that I went right on and gave you my "sleeping advice". Hope that didn't count as annoying (eek). Let's chat again soon.

I feel the same way. There is nothing we can do now but support him and the good he can do.
