Swimming

We had swimming lessons the last 2 weeks. The kids loved it but it mostly put me in a holding pattern all day. First we waited to go to class, waited at class and then finally came home to get something done.

Emma loved it. She could not wait to go each day.

Drew told the teacher each day that lessons were bad and he wasn't coming back the next day. Until the last 3 days, he looked at his teacher and told him that he had a great time and couldn't wait to see him tomorrow. The teacher and I just looked at each other and laughed.

Emma has gotten really good at actually swimming. She can pretty much get across the pool by herself. Drew didn't like it but something finally clicked and the last day of class, he jumps in the water and started swimming across the pool. Who knew??!!

The best was as Drew was doing the backstroke across the pool with his teacher, he told him that he was trying to catch the clouds as his arms went round. Then all of a sudden he screams, "I got one!"
That boy surprises me each day. Emma surprises me with the confidence she has in herself to try pretty much anything.

Okay, I have never seen a swim teacher with a ball cap on in the pool. That is wierd right? But even thought lessons really take a chunk out your day they are so fun. Glad drew decided he was having fun after all.

Sarah, That is why I teach little kids, they can hate your guts one day and then love you the next! :)

I'm glad that Drew finally loved his swim lessons! Now you've got to join us at Cherry Hill!

You have had a fun summer - I can't wait for your little bambino to come along to top it all off!
