Conference

So Saturday seemed a bust. We tried to listen but the noise level never came below the loud mark. Then Kristin and I ran away to go to Tai Pan, Rod Work and REal Deals. I love these stores are around. When we came back the boys left for priesthood session in the conference center. Kids to bed early great night. The next morning we got to go to conference. It was pouring. As we walked in we saw a woman drive in to a covered parking area with a bike on her roof. Needless to say, she did not make it the bike and rack were dangling on the outside. Cory would kill me. Luckily many men came to help her pull it down. How do you forget something like that?? Then we sat down it was so hot it was putting me to sleep. So we broke out the candy. Much better. The speakers were amazing. It was wonderful to hear President Monson talk. He calms my spirit and nerves in crazy times like we are living. He said "Find Joy in your journey...NOW" That really reasonated with me. I need to let go of the expectations and seek to enjoy my family before I look back and wonder where the time has gone. I also loved how Sister Dalton talked about temples and making them the focus of all the preparation we are doing. It has caused me to look back and make small changes now rather than big changes later.

I loved President Monsons talk too. How did he know that's what I needed to hear and do?
